Our Compassionate Care program is a program providing non emergency travel assistance for elderly and disabled adults. Want to make a positive difference in the lives of others? Volunteer with us, all are welcome. We have UAB student volunteers, community volunteers, and elderly to elderly volunteers who are around the same age as our clients and can relate to the clients.

Requirements to become a VOLUNTEER TODAY:

(We are seeking individuals to help us build a robust compassionate companions volunteer base).

Key Qualifications include the following:

1. Must be 18 or older
2. Have scheduling flexibility
3. We pay $25 per ride to our volunteers as an appreciation of your time
4. Have a heart for serving other, especially the elderly
5. Have an interest in human and/or health care services such as social work, physical therapy , speech therapy, or CNA’s are welcome.
6. Have an interest in developing intergenerational relationships with the elderly in our community across greater Birmingham.
